![]() ![]() I really did not notice any glitches nor do i use any fancy features of PMS software (that would require a premium pass, which i missed out on buying before the price hike)Īnd maybe, just maybe, my report will help improve future versions of this wonderful app. Although i will admit that it sounds strange that a direct install would report “success” even though the reality is different.Īdditionally I will share the dd_vcredis_x86_20160113233535 logīut just want to point out that i don t mind using the old version for now. Lack of security patches will not damage your pc as much as surfing “recreational” websitesĪnyway, as i have mentioned earlier, i will grab the micro$oft Visual C 48145 package once i reach home (after my 12 hour night shift). I have gained experience with these things randomly working as the neighborhood “genius” (even thought that commonly refers to mac troubleshooting) and it’s best to disable them. Regarding my system, i can say for sure that for the past 2 years (or since the beginning) i have disabled all the OS updates and notifications about firewall and / or virus. ![]() Nice to see an “official” taking a look at my case. You’ll still need to repair or uninstall and reinstall it, to get it working correctly, because if you just install it, it will report success despite having a broken vcredist install. They will be named similar to dd_vcredis_x86_20160113233535, just grab the latest ones and post them here.Īnother thing you could try is download the vcredist from microsoft: If you could grab me the logs of the vcredist install, usually they are in %temp%: C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Temp\. The failure in the vcredist usually install occurs when the vcredist tries to install a KB patch against the OS which usually fails because of bad prerequisites or any other reason that stops the patch from being applied. So it runs a repair of the vcredist, which fails. Reading the log (thanks for that btw) it goes through the steps as expected and detects a broken vcredist which could happen when it is installed on a non-SP1 machine and then the machine is upgraded to SP1. This is a strange situation, the installation of the vcredist on your computer should have worked, since Windows7 SP1 is supported. ![]()
