![]() I've tried recreating the problem few months ago but it's random nature really threw me off and I stopped playing with the PCSX2 all together after that. Sometimes it would freeze within 20 minutes and sometimes it won't freeze even after hours of playtime. ![]() I then turned it off, did some other stuff for about 30 minutes then tried playing again on a different version of PCSX (rev.580) then it crashed within I'd say 15 minutes of gameplay. Last night, I played a 2 hour session without anything happening. After you do this, go to CDVD > ISO Selector > Browse, then browse to the location where you just created the ISO previously with ImageBurn and double-click on it to load it inside. How long does pcsx2 typically run before crashing? Wait until the process is complete, then open the PCSX2 emulator, select CDVD from the ribbon bar at the top and choose ISO from the list of available options. So it's entirely likely pcsx2 is exploiting some particular pathway on your video card's cpu die that other games do not use, which is failing more often than not. Pcsx2 stresses the video card in ways most other games do not, and heat alone is not the only factor in measuring stability of hardware. ![]() (02-26-2009, 02:40 AM)Air Wrote: If your computer is hard locking randomly in-game, then it's almost certainly a problem with your video card or video card drivers. ![]()
